Tote Bag Workshop
One of our members, Helen Gunn, has inherited large 18 x 18 in samples of high-end upholstery fabric (silks, velvet, cottons, vinyl, etc.) and is offering a workshop to show you how to make a tote bag! This is a fundraiser for the Burnstown branch and is open to all members, including guests.
You're encouraged to bring your friends out for a day of fun and sewing a simple-to-make tote bag. Make it as big or as small as you want; the choice is yours.
Course includes pattern, individual design ideas and materials. No experience is required as this basic pattern can be made unlined or, for the more experienced, you can add lining, closures and pockets.
Additional fabric will be for sale for other projects that you have in mind. Design ideas for pillows will also be presented.
What you need to bring:
Sewing machine in good working order (we can partner you with someone if you don't have one);
Note pad, pen, scissors, pins, thread (black, grey, cream) size 12 or 14 sewing machine needle, extension cord, power bar; and,
